Wildlife Destinations in Kerala

Kerala, or, God's Own Country, is home to an exotic and rare species of wildlife inhabiting the wildlife sanctuaries scattered across the state. The fourteen wildlife sanctuaries and two tiger reserves are located in the dense forests of the Western Ghats. Apart from that, the state is also home to six national parks which contain protected and endangered species like the Indian sloth-bear, lion tailed macaque, Indian bison, Bengal tiger and Nilgiri Tahr. Some of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries in Kerala are Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, Silent Valley National Park, Periyar Tiger Reserve and Eravikulam National Park, besides others.
