Philipkutty’s Farm:
The Philipkutty’s Farm is a beautiful man-made island, closely located in the Kottayam district of Kerala. This magnificent island is run by the two women namely Anu Mathew and Aniamma. It makes for one of the few areas of the world where farming is done below the sea level. The cultivation is done two meters below the lake level and has toddy, banana, coconut, cocoa, nutmeg and pepper grown here.
The farm guest houses which are all detached from the family’s home are impressively furnished with antique carved wood furniture and Catholic motifs. The tile roofs and the rustic clay floors just perfectly add to the charms.
