By Train
The nearest railway station for the town of Thenmala is in Kollam that is located at a distance of about 66 km. One of the biggest railway stations in Kerala, it receives a number of trains from a number of destinations of the state. Once at the station, you can hire a taxi to go to Thenmala, which may charge between INR 7 to 12 per km. Local transport might not be a reliable option.
By Air
The nearest airport from Thenmala is in Thiruvananthapuram, around 72 km away. This airport is well-connected with all the prime destinations of India as well as aboard through regular flights.
By Road
You can also opt for government buses available from Trivandrum to arrive in Thenmala. Every hour, a bus is available from the Central Bus Station. The ticket costs around INR 100.
