Located in the Palakkad district, Parambikulam wildlife sanctuary is spread in a protected area of 285 square kilometres. Founded in the year 1973, the sanctuary has been blessed with winding streams, gushing waterfalls, picturesque landscape, undulating valleys and hills and biodiversity wealth. This sanctuary is situated in the Sungam hills between the Anaimalai Hills and Nelliampathy Hills.

How To Reach Parambikulam

By Air

The nearest airport is the Coimbatore airport, around 110 km northward of the sanctuary. It is well-connected through regular flights to important destinations like Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kozhikode, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Bhubaneshwar. Once at the airport, pre-booked vehicles and taxis are available to go to Parambikulam.

By Train

The nearest railhead to Parambikulam is the Coimbatore railway station, which is located at a distance of 96 km northwards of the sanctuary. This railway station is well-connected with prime destinations like Mumbai, Tirupati, Delhi, Chennai, Tuticorin, Jaipur, Rajkot, Bikaner and Mangalore. Bus and taxi service is available to go to the sanctuary.

By Road

One can reach Parambikulam by road from Pollachi town. Two daily buses connect the tiger reserve to Pollachi.
