One of the best attractions in Cochin, Marine Drive is quite a famous hangout, frequented by locals as well as tourists. Overlooking the Kochi Harbour and the backwaters, the scenic beach stretch has several shopping malls, skyscrapers, food joints and entertainment options. The walkway, where no vehicle is allowed, is dotted with several options to explore.
People can be seen here in the morning, jogging, walking, enjoying sunrise as the cool breeze flows in from the Lake Vembanad. The evenings are even busier with hundreds of people on the walkway, which starts from the High Court Junction and goes till the Rajendra Maidan. Do not miss noticing the boat jetties along the walkway.
Some of the popular landmarks on the Marine Drive walkway include the House Boat Bridge, the Chinese Fishing Net Bridge and the Rainbow Bridge. The walkway stretches to three kilometers. Sunset and sunrise vies here are wonderful. Childrens’ Park and Subhash Chandra Bose Park are two of the popular attractions near Marine Drive.
