Thirunavaya Temple, located on the banks Bharathapuzha river, is famous among the tourist for both spiritual and historic reasons. The site where the temple is present, in the ancient time, were used as a place for conducting Mamangam, a grand assembly of the rulers of Kerala. This magnificent 6,000 year old temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The interior walls of the temple are adorned with sculptures narrating the stories of Lord Shiva and Arjuna.
